Care & Maintenance
- Accute care
- Corrective care
- Maintenance care

Three types of care are available at Surdel Chiropractic:
Acute Care
Immediate care for sudden or severe musculoskeletal condition. Treatment goal is to alleviate symptoms and stabilize the condition. Care involves manual adjustments, soft tissue therapy, icing and exercises to manage symptoms.
Treatment length will vary depending on condition.
Corrective Care
Long term care to correct underlying structural imbalances in the spine. Treatment goal is to balance the hips and pelvis in order to correct spinal misalignments. Care involves manual adjustments, soft tissue therapy and core stabilization exercises. Also, heel lifts and orthotics may be prescribed if a leg length inequality or foot imbalance exists.
Treatment length is 2 to 6 months.
Maintenance Care
Ongoing care to maintain optimal spinal health to prevent the onset of musculoskeletal issues and to reduce the risk of injury or disease. Treatment goal is to help maintain proper alignment, improve joint function and to prevent minor misalignments from developing into more serious conditions. Care involves manual adjustments, soft tissue therapy, stretching and core stabilization exercises.
Treatment frequency is once every 2 to 4 weeks.
Like regular dental checkups, once patients experience the value of chiropractic, many choose to continue. How long you decide to benefit from chiropractic care is always up to you.
